With raw, sometimes unhinged resilience, they survived anything thrown at them, including bombs, helicopters, fires, raids and a tank. While we ate pizza, they scavenged for rabbits, battled with good and evil and plunged knives into the skulls of the undead. Like the zombs in their post-apocalyptic world, the characters in the comic book based drama kept coming at us, night after night, with their human dramas.
